The StingR® is a fully automatic backwash filter system that can be integrated into system concepts or used as a separate filter for various applications. The automatic filter gives you maximum flexibility and excellent results with filter finenesses from 2 to 20 µm.
A special feature is that the pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical controls are located directly on the filter. The system is equipped with all the necessary valve technology in both the supply and return lines, functions autonomously and is Industry 4.0-capable thanks to sensor monitoring. Each filter dome is monitored individually.
The StingR® works with a filter element that is automatically cleaned when it reaches a certain level of contamination. This ensures extremely long service lives for the cooling lubricants and filter cartridges, even in the most demanding applications with abrasive particles. The filter elements can be used for a long time and are subsequently recyclable, making the StingR® a particularly sustainable system with a positive ecological balance. The automatic filter is also very energy-efficient, as the backwashing process is triggered on demand, which means it is only triggered when cleaning is really necessary.
The filter elements can be changed quickly and easily in less than a minute. Automatic backwashing extends the service life of the filter elements, reduces maintenance cycles and significantly lowers personnel costs. The easily accessible filter elements enable quick replacement and reduce personnel costs. Furthermore, the fully automatic sensor control minimizes manual intervention and helps to reduce personnel costs. Thanks to the best filter results, even with demanding fine particle applications and abrasive materials, the StingR® reduces the occurrence of grinding burn.
Our expertise in the field of filtration is unique. In order to understand filtration and the process behind it in detail and to optimize your processes, we have manufactured a glass filter dome that makes filtration visible. This enables precise observation of dirt particles and clearly shows the automatic backwashing process. In our in-house laboratory, we test your specific fluid with our system in order to select the optimum filter element for your requirements and configure the system accordingly.
The Lehmann-UMT systems can be flexibly integrated into the existing machine concept and are Industry 4.0-capable, so you are securely positioned for the future, as retrofitting and follow-up costs are extremely low. The Lehmann-UMT systems are easily connected to the building management system, so signals are issued centrally, significantly reducing your personnel and workload. Each filter dome of the StingR® can be monitored individually. In addition, the system's precise temperature control of the medium means that the quality of your production remains the same and you can rest assured. Intelligent sensor technology and connections enable early notification of maintenance and service work, which increases your productivity and reduces your costs.

The extremely short backwash times of less than 9 seconds enable frequent and effective backwashing, which significantly increases the availability of the filter surface. The minimal consumption of liquid and compressed air ensures intensive backwashing of the filter element, which efficiently prevents agglomeration. This leads to a noticeable improvement in cooling lubricant quality and helps to minimize wear on your processing machines and tools.
Thanks to its unique design, the StingR® automatic filter is a very space-saving system that ensures maximum flow rates with filter finenesses of up to 2 µm and a small footprint. A single StingR® system can filter up to 120 l/min, whereby the flow rate can be increased almost limitlessly by simply linking several filter domes. The intelligent design and the demand-controlled backwashing process significantly reduce maintenance costs. The best filter results minimize the occurrence of grinding burn, optimize processes and lead to cost savings.
